Tim was brought up in Northamptonshire and graduated in 1994 with an honours degree in English Literature from De Montfort University in Leicester.
While working in petrol station forecourt he regularly found himself serving the Creative Services Director of TWA marketing. Before long he had a job there, working on loyalty programmes for Midland Bank's credit card customers, and it was an eye opener.
He discovered that he liked working with big brands, on creative projects, and above all with creative people. Before long he was an account manager, making sure clients were getting what they had been promised.
By the end of 2004 he had worked for MSB&K, KLP Euro RSCG Direct, WWAV Rapp Collins and EHS Brann amongst others and also client side for Virgin Money. Virgin provided a career highlight for Tim in that he was responsible for managing the inter-agency relationships behind Virgin's successful credit card launch. Integration was becoming the buzz word of the time and it needed someone who was fluent in understanding all disciplines.
So, in 2004 Tim changed career tack and moved into recruitment - to specialise in recruiting Creatives of all sorts into marketing and advertising agencies.
Then in 2008, Tim teamed up with Ali Wallace to form DNA. They had seen an opportunity for a more open ended style of recruitment. One that celebrates the quirks rather than trying to square them off. And one that is less volume focused.
Tim lives in Wimbledon, with his partner Claire and his 10 year old son, Oscar. He enjoys books, music, quirky cars and watching things in his garden grow.
